THE BLURB
Can you ever forget your first love?
Liberty Evans hasn’t.She has a beautiful daughter, a successful career as an actress, and she’s married to one of Hollywood’s most powerful directors.
But behind the glamour, things are not what they seem. Her daughter Brooke is turning into a spoiled teenager, her husband controls everything she does, and Liberty longs for Cory, the man she loved before she became famous.
Unable to live a lie any more, Liberty returns to England with a reluctant Brooke, to start a new life. While her daughter has to cope with a massive lifestyle change, Liberty finds that she cannot get Cory out of her head.
But will he want her any more? Or will she have to accept that her first love belongs to the past?

Liberty character was very good i liked her a lot she very down to earth she wants her daughter to have the best she can gave her this life in LA going to be the making of her
The book moves on in part two to a few year later liberty is married brooke is now 15 years old brooke is very rich young lady she wants for nothing in her life i did not like her to start with when she was in LA she a very flash show off young lady but when back in England she was a lovely young girl that very down to earth she loves her mum i think at the start her hormones were making her a little diva i got to say she was her ways , her looks , her manners
Were not very nice
But i like that she changed you got to see a totally different young lady she was still full of life and love but in a nice way
The book about finding true love your first love
I was hooked to the story from the first page till i got to the end liberty was just so in love with cory a true love story a page turner i loved that we hear all about liberty life and loves but no matter what was throw at her she still love cory her life was very tough her life in LA was not good frank was not a very nice man i was happy she got to do films her dreams it a gem of a book i love it so much

my blog review for the lemon grove by helen walsh

The lemon grove by helen walsh
The blurb
Each summer, Jenn and her husband Greg return to Deia, on Mallorca’s dramatic west coast. This year the arrival of Emma, Jenn’s stepdaughter, and her new boyfriend Nathan threatens to upset their equilibrium. Beautiful and reckless, Nathan stirs something unexpected in Jenn. As she is increasingly seduced by Nathan’s youth and the promise of passion, the line between desire and obsession begins to blur. What follows is a highly-charged liaison that puts lives and relationships in jeopardy. For Jenn, after this summer, nothing can ever be the same.
What i say
I really wanted to read this book cause i heard so much about it or seen it so much in papers
The book very well written her details are very good i could see the villa in Mallorca the whole islands ,the food ,the whole place was in my mind as it was put into so much detail
Jenn and greg are enjoying their holiday there go there most years they have since emma was young . Them seem to be enjoy their time together but why does greg phone keep ringing but he not answering it why? it was not what i was thinking you have to wait to the end of story to find out who been trying to call the whole time they are away they got a whole week togo till emma who is 15 now and her boyfriend who 17 join them on this family holiday i not sure why at 15 you take your daughter boyfriend on hols with you. I may be to old my mum would never let that happen but at 15 i would have took a girl friend
I think jenn having a mid life crisis she seem happy till they turn up i not sure i like that jenn and nathan seen to be having a thing together and why would a 17 year old boy be having sex with a over 40 year old lady i not sure if it was very believable but i wanted to keep reading to see if they get caught in the act so to me that makes the book a good read the ending is clearly written i did not see that at all i like how well the book was written i had to finish to see what happen it just could not see it happening to me it was un believable
The book very well written just not a book for me 3 stars borrow ok read wouldn’t read again you may enjoy it i did but the story not one a liked not me

my blog post for the guest house by holly martin

The guest book by holly martin
The blurb
Welcome to Willow Cottage – throw open the shutters, let in the sea breeze and make yourself completely at home. Oh, and please do leave a comment in the Guestbook!
As landlady of Willow Cottage, the young widow Annie Butterworth is always on hand with tea, sympathy or strong Norfolk cider – whatever her colourful array of guests require. A flick through the messages in the leather-bound cottage guestbook gives a tantalizing glimpse into the lives of everyone who passes through her doors.
This includes Annie herself – especially now celebrity crime writer Oliver Black, is back in town. He might grace the covers of gossip magazines with a different glamorous supermodel draped on his arm every week, but to Annie, he’s always just been Olly, the man who Annie shared her first kiss with.
Through the pages of the Guestbook Annie and Olly, along with all the guests that arrive at the seaside retreat, struggle with love, loss, mystery, joy, happiness, guilt…and the odd spot of naked rambling!
What i say
I loved this book it very charming and witty it will make you laugh
I like now the book split up into different entries in the guest book it a very clear way of writing a book the book set at willow cottage what people write in the guest book is their or the story
The story got love heartbreaks , decisions and people wanting yo change there lives around .
Annie a fab character she so funny she likes to gave out lots of food to guess she makes them all feel very welcome at her lovely guesthouse .
Annie and her brother in law seem to be getting on so well i think there could be a lot more going on here the story of Annie and Oliver very good some parts will make you smile . Oliver a famous crime writer which i like a few other wanted to write too i liked all the characters that stayed at willow cottage they keep going back this makes the story so good a lot can happen to people between trips . my blog review strange girls &ordinary women by morgan mccarthy

Strange girls and ordinary women by morgan mccarthy
The blurb
They say you know instinctively who to trust.
Alice is normal; she’d never do anything rash. But when she sees her husband one day with a younger girl, she knows at once that he’s having an affair. And it must be stopped.
Vic loves her friend Michael, more than he knows. He wants happiness, and thinks he’s found it with the magnetic Estella. But Vic feels sure she can’t be trusted – and she needs to make Michael see that too.
They don’t know Kaya; her life is tougher than they can imagine. But Kaya’s a survivor, and she’s determined to find a way out of her miserable world.
Three women, three lives that come crashing together in this dark, lyrical and utterly enthralling story of warped perceptions, female intuition and ‘the other woman’.
WHAT I SAY
I did enjoy this book it was a bit slow at the start but it was so well written and you get to learn lots about the characters i did not mind the book about three different women
Alice was a lovely lady a great mum very homely she know her husbands having a affair she not to happy about it she going to follow him to see what he doing her home is lovely she should do interior designs she take great care of her home this part of the story were she follows him will get you hooked jasper a doctor so they are very well off but were some of their money going
Ben their son he a normal young boy but he spend a lot time with his mum which i like that they still did things together
Vic is just so in love with Michael but he can not see this she all way there for him a true mate she just want Michael to love her back but i not sure if this will happen vic living and working in her mum & dads hotel her childhood was not very easy her friend died and religion become a big part of her life
Kaya was my favourite character i just loved all about her she got to make ends meat so she working as a stripper in a club she was not very good a dancing to start with her mum Louise was a alcoholic it was not easy for her to deal with she want to go to uni to me she was a very bright young lady she loves her mum but her boyfriend was not very nice to them i felt her life was very tough when she lived at home it was so nice to read about her life
All three were very different they all had very different life’s and personalities they all had to work at getting what they wanted out of life it took me a while to see how they fitted into each other life’s i loved that we hear about all their worlds the whole book was very good i enjoy each part of the book it was set in three parts part one was their backgrounds part two there life’s part 3 about now what was going on
As i say i was a bit slow as how there were join together i could see a few links in my head a very good book 4 stars read enjoy pass on

my blog rewview for deranged marriage by faith bleasdale

Deranged marriage – Faith Beleasdale
The blurb
Would you ever consider a marriage pact?
Holly did. In a heartbroken and drunken haze, it all seemed to make perfect sense. George was her best friend, would always be her best friend and, ifthey both found themselves single at the age of thirty, well, why not?
But when, a decade later, a man Holly hasn’t seen for years says she’s signed a contract and has to marry him, she realises exactly why not. Forget the fact that her career is going places, forget that she’s head-over-heels in love with a gorgeous boyfriend, George wants the pact fulfilled and will stop at nothing to get his way.
Can I do become I don’t? Or will it all end horribly ever after?
What i say
This book is a warning to all of you do not agree a marriage pact with your best male/female best friend where you agree to marry at a given age if you have not found anyone else and certainly do not do it in writing. Holly Miller found herself attending court to face her once was best friend George who was trying to make her marry him as was agreed. Not great when you are in love with Joe.
There are lots of twists and turns in the story. However through it Holly finds how great her family and friends are as they are there to support her throughout.
I enjoyed the story and found it easy to read. However I did find myself getting g annoyed with Holly over a few things (you will have to read to find out). Most of the characters, George exempt, were lovely and I found myself liking them immensely. I even felt sorry for George at times. I give this book 4 stars and would recommend it for a nice easy summer read. I could not tell you more with out telling you the story

Lavender review of book
Not Quite Perfect by Annie Lyons
Emma has everything she’s ever wanted. Her boyfriend’s just proposed and her career has finally taken off. And so what if her latest client just happens to be downright gorgeous? She’s getting married. Isn’t she?
Rachel’s married with 2.4 children (well, actually, 3) and life is all about trying to leave the house in a non-stained top. Once it was about skinny cappuccinos, cocktails and dynamic ad agency meetings. She wants her old life back, but can it ever be the same?
A sparkling, funny tale of two sisters and how often you don’t know what you’ve got until it’s gone.
What i say

Not Quite Perfect is a story about two sisters, Emma and Rachel. Emma has a great life, she’s engaged, has some good friends and at work things are going very well. Rachel has a kind husband and a wonderful best friend. She also has three children. She’s staying at home to take care of them while her husband is working on his career. Both Emma and Rachel aren’t happy with their current situation. Emma’s fiancé makes a few very wrong decisions when planning their wedding. Meanwhile there’s someone else who’s making it quite clear that he’s interested in her. Will Emma be able to resist him? Rachel is facing a similar problem. Her husband is never home and he’s made an important decision without consulting her. Rachel misses her old, exciting and a lot more glamorous life. Will she be able to stay away from temptation when it’s right in front of her?
The title of this book, Not Quite Perfect, is so well chosen. Both Emma and Rachel aren’t perfect, but they’re great main characters. They’re normal woman who have problems like everyone else. Sometimes people make bad decisions and that’s exactly what Emma and Rachel do as well. Their men aren’t the most attentive, but they are kind. What I liked best about this story is the emphasis on the importance of family. Rachel and Emma are both friends and sisters and they love their parents very much. The constant switch between Emma and Rachel’s storyline made the story fast paced and interesting. What’s happening to Emma and Rachel is realistic, it’s something that could happen in everyday life. Not Quite Perfect isn’t a standard romantic story and I loved it even more because of that!
