Federica Campione adores her father. No matter that Ramon, a distinguished traveller and writer, spends months away from their home on the exotic Chilean coast; as soon as he’s back, his daughter has eyes for no one but him. When he gives her a magical box from Peru she believes he will always be there for her.
As she grows to womanhood, Federica attempts to recapture that long-forgotten sense of security in the arms of the debonair Torquil Jensen. From the sanctuary of a seemingly perfect marriage, she embarks on a painful journey of self-discovery. But can Federica ever truly escape her gilded cage and learn the true lesson of the butterfly box?

I really did enjoy this book to me a epic saga of a young woman’s search for love
The book just pulls you into the plot the descriptions are excellent you just seem to be transported in to the destinations
The characters are very believable
Frederica was a young girl that loved her dad so much she seem to set her dad on a pedestal she only had eyes for him from a very young he was her world her love. one day sam save her life he become like a brother to her she looked up to him they share a very deep love from a very young age they seem to talk so open about all sorts of things but then she got married why ? She loved sam i say why marry now ?

When she was married to torquil he seem to be suffocating her he would be so kind to her he buy her any thing she wanted but he was not being kind he did not love her at all i say .

Her brother Hal was so jealously of the relationship she had with their dad he was having a very tough life i did feel for him the book tell you all about their life his dad seem to like his sister was it cause she was younger ? What will you think they story’s they shared were magical to a child.

Their mum Helena was a bit hard to read she experiences consuming love and she did forces Ramon hand to show his love for her he did not and the result are not good it leave a very bitter taste for the whole family
Helena can only love Ramon she want the past back so much can she get it ?
Illicit love is scattered throughout the book Helena wants her past love back . Torquil dose not love Frederica
Toby and julian have live on the outside for so long but one day a tragedy unites them all together

The appleby family i loved them they play a bit part in the plot they were just one big happy family they care for every one it just so nice the two different class of family can unite the two families friendship was so good it just brought them all love

The book get me hooked in the first few pages i loved the whole story you do feel you was part of the family you get to know the characters so well my heart when out to them
The book got a deep massage of love , family , life, death and loss . There are a lot of twist to the story it very easy to read i like that one small box could hold such love inside it The book very good i recommend you all read 4 stars a nice easy read

    Bah Humbug

This is a great feel good Christmas novella that although has a sad section makes you feel happy and in the Christmas spirit. I really enjoyed reading it and read it from beginning to end without a break.

Lexi Anderson is a TV host that has recently moved to Salt City from San Diego with her two children Trista and Steven. She is a single parent with no family to rely on as they all passed away.

Unknown to her their new neighbour is non other than the children’s favourite author, of the Jared Strong adventure books, Kyle Miller. Kyle Miller is however suffering from writers block and their first encounter is not a pleasant one. Kyle does not like Christmas and hates the fact that members of the neighbourhood are constantly putting novelty Christmas items in the garden. They always try to make him celebrate the season and he is always reluctant and tries his best to avoid his family. He has his reasons behind this and Lexi hopes she can help him through it.

What happens between Lexi and Kyle is heart-warming and the shared history that they have experienced I think helps to form a bond of understanding.

A must read prior to Christmas whilst cwthched (hugged) up with a blanket and a hot chocolate Date: Sun, 23 Nov 2014 18:25:42 +0000 To: tanyainwales@hotmail.com
