Photo: Difficult Husbands by Mary de Laszlo THE BLURB WHAT I SAY As both me and Tanya read this i decided to post both review I did enjoy this book . It the first book i have read by Mary and it will not be the last it a nice easy read . I do love the cover and the title just caught my eye . The book tell you the story of three women you will sympathies with them all it just show you how christmas can affect us all differently it will make you think Lorna ex husband cheated on her this is her first christmas as a divorced lady how will she cope ? She was so nice and she was so much fun a great fun loving character Gloria husband Adrian was an alcoholic she has to deal with a lot all the time my heart when out for her she not sure were he is a lot of the time it was so hard for her . Then we have Rosalind her husband not treating her own children very well he seem to be doing lots of charity work with teenagers why ? His own family need him why he spending so much time away from home ? What he up to? Christmas is approaching and all three women are worried as to what their 'difficult husbands ' may do next most of the husbands were now in their 60's but the lady were younger they all just want to have a nice christmas with their children . Lorna inherits Ravenscourt a very big country houses it sounded so nice i could see it in my mind The plan the women come up for christmas without their husbands is just fab you got to read to hear Their plan was so funny i enjoy then we get Nathan he beings the story to life for me who like who ? The thing that happen in the house are fun but all so sad at times The book got lots of twists it all about family drama I would of like to hear more about the old houses i just like the whole plot it will make you thing about family It was a ok read i did enjoy it i like the story 3 stars ok read borrow i wouldn't read again I like to thank net gallery for letting me review this book TANYA REVIEW Difficult Husbands – Mary de Laszlo When I initially saw and read the front cover of this book I was expecting a lovely Christmas story full of love and happiness however this was not the case and I found that I was disappointed with the excitement I expected in this story. Lorna Is now divorced from her older husband, Stephen. who is now living with someone even younger than her. This is not what she expected marrying a man 20 years older. Her friends Gloria and Rosalind also married older men who happened to be friends of Stephens. They are also struggling with their husbands. Gloria’s husband, Adrian, is an alcoholic and their son Justin cannot bare to be in the same room with him in case he causes an upset. Gloria finds herself looking after an alcoholic that doesn’t even know where he is part of the time, or care what he says or does. Rosalind’s husband Ivan is too busy spending time doing charity work and helping others than to spend time with his family and children. Rosalind is worried that he is having an affair. Things change when Lorna inherits a mansion and they come up with the idea of sending their husbands there for the Christmas period so that they do not have to worry about them upsetting the children and any of the party atmospheres. Can they pull it off? Throw in the mix a handsome entrepreneur, Nathan, that cooks tantalising hams and want to use the mansion for a photo shoot for next year’s Christmas promotion. Lorna and Gloria both find him attractive and Gloria is trying her hardest to please him. Is he interested in either of them or is he just using them to get what he wants? The story itself was interesting but it was not a happy story that I want to read on the run up to Christmas. Yes it has happy parts but overall I found that I was quite upset by some parts. I kept wanting to say to the women why are you not leaving, so what you have no money but you and your children are not happy.

TANYA REVIEW
Difficult Husbands – Mary de Laszlo

When I initially saw and read the front cover of this book I was expecting a lovely Christmas story full of love and happiness however this was not the case and I found that I was disappointed with the excitement I expected in this story.

Her friends Gloria and Rosalind also married older men who happened to be friends of Stephens. They are also struggling with their husbands.
