THE DRESS SHOP OF DREAMS by Menna van Praag

THE BLURB

Since her parents’ mysterious deaths many years ago, Cora Sparks has spent her days hidden in the safety of her university lab or at her grandmother Etta’s dress shop. Tucked away on a winding Cambridge Street, Etta’s charming tiny store appears quite ordinary to passersby, but the colorfully vibrant racks of beaded silks, delicate laces, and jewel-toned velvets hold bewitching secrets.
Dreams, dresses, magic, and mystery swirl in this enchanting novel.
The Dress Shop of Dreams is the book to read before turning off your bedside light.”
—Nancy Thayer,

WHAT I SAY

I really did enjoy this book it was so easy to follow a very clever story by the title you may think is going to all about a dress shop that was only a very small part the story
The story more about Cora she the shop owners granddaughter Etta’s the owner this shop she loved to sew a bit of magic into each of the dresses when a lady put the dress on she feel so good she may get her deepest desires do they come true .
I enjoyed hear all about the shop it sounded so cool

The magic side was a very different way of telling you the plot i think it worked well

The book got a few love tales going on it got lots of twist and turns i enjoy reading about them all

The crime of Cora mum and dad being killed will hook you into the story .Did you work it out i was trying to i enjoy that part if the plot so much .

Walt i just loved him he owned the bookstore his cherry pie he made and sold sounded so nice i wanted to eat some .
He was so handsome just a lovely guy he like Cora so much but he was not sure what to do about it did she like him too?

Etta helps him a bit with her magic did it work ? he had a job reading books on the radio he seem to enjoy doing that this did bring he some new attention did he enjoy this i not sure what did you think ?

Cora i was not sure of her to start with i found her very hard to read at times. But i got to like her so will you i think she was a young lady that was not very happy she missed her mum and dad so much she was going to sort this out what had happened to them
She was a very clever lady who had a very good job
She seem to grow a lot in this book
Her grandma was so nice a very warm character i like her part in the story i loved all her magic she was very funny at times her humour was very good just right for the storylines.
I liked that all the characters they were so close some harder to read than others, but the seemed to get on so well
The book will make you see that love can be any where it will keep you guessing right to the end
The book about love and following your dreams
A great fun book
