The sensational new psychological thriller from the bestselling author of Before I Go To Sleep . . .

She loves her husband. She’s obsessed by a stranger.

She’s a devoted mother. She’s prepared to lose everything.

She knows what she’s doing. She’s out of control.

She’s innocent. She’s guilty as sin.

She’s living two lives. She might lose both

I got mix views on this book i enjoy some but in other parts i got bored

i did like the plot but i did not warm to the characters i did not like them

i would not say it a crime book it more about cyber sex or living a fantasy .

I found the start a bit slow but it got more tense and very twisted as you carry on reading

The thriller elements did keep you guessing but i felt Julie put herself in to many dangerous situations it got a lots of mystery packed into it

Julie wants to find her sister killer she goes on the net just like she did to try to find him

Julie i did not like she was so naive about things what did you think of her ? I just found her so annoying and frustrating at times she was so silly with what she was doing

Anne was a good character i liked her her twist was so fab this hooked me i did not see it did you ?

Conner my heart when out to this boy i did feel for him

I did like the plot but it just did not grip me i think it a book you love or hate

A majority of the story grip me it a very quick read i like the writing style it make you think people on the net are they fake or real it a thought provoking tale one that will make you think are people real ?

The was a bit abrupt I wanted to hear more it left you hanging

A ok read please read for yourself you may love it

Thank to Publishers and netgalley for letting me read and review

3 dolls (3 stars )

ok read but would not read again

TANYA MONDAY REVIEW POST Fudge Berries and Frogs’ Knickers by Lynda Renham

Aj book review club's photo.         Aj book review club's photo. TANYA MONDAY REVIEW POST Fudge Berries and Frogs’ Knickers by Lynda Renham Wow what a great catchy title this book has. I was looking forward to reading this book as soon as I heard the title. We are used to the normal rags to riches but this is the riches to rags story set in London. The story starts with Poppy Wellesley glancing at the television in a posh beauty parlour and seeing her Daddy Sir Rupert Wellesley being arrested for fraud. What a shock to the system. The consequence of this affects her whole lifestyle. Her fiancé and so called friends, all but Chelsea, no longer want anything to do with her. The shock even caused her body to come out in an awful rash that nothing seems to solve. How can she attend all the pre-Christmas social parties with red skin? Poppy is known to her friends as Truffles due to her passion for eating and making truffles. Of course her favourite brand is Harrods. She has never had to worry about money and has her own chauffer driven Bentley to take her to her the top restaurant and shops. She finds out when meeting her financial man Jeremy at the Ivy how bad things are. She is considering selling her designer clothes, shoes and handbags just to pay for basic living. The story continues with Poppy living on a house boat and having to get a job. This is awful for Poppy and she cannot bring herself to speak to the boat people as they are too far below her standard of normal living. As for the walk of shame no way was she doing that!!!! Thankfully Chelsea is there to support Truffles and does not allow the discrimination of others to affect her decision to continue the close friendship. Also Lord Balthazar Wyndham-Price more commonly known as Balls also continues to try and woo her and even finds himself in a few difficult situations as he stands up for her. The boat people are friendly and try to help Poppy feel at home and welcome her and Chelsea into their boats for chip suppers. Of course the handsome Taylor is a big favourite of mine and I like the mix up in what she thinks he does for a living and what he really does. As the reader you know that she has the wrong end of the stick and this makes it more fun. The instant sizzle between them is interesting and you just know that Poppy will have the opinion that there is no way that she will reduce her standards and be seen with a poor person. After all she has standards to live up to. You can’t help but like Chelsea and her way of looking at the positive of everything and her willingness to support Poppy through the difficult times she faces. Her comments like Frogs’ Knickers always managed to make me giggle especially in some of the situations that they managed to get themselves in. Ruby is great and a character I could associate with after all I like to shop in Primark and would have my nails done in a Market if we had one. My favourite part in the book was the walk of shame and the mishap that happened! This is one I can’t relate to as my husband does that when we are in the caravan. The book is worth reading but be aware there is a tongue in cheek attitude towards socialites and the fact that a normal person is not worth speaking to. As for a job what is one of those? I would like to thank suzanne and Lynda for sending me this book to read x Thank you Tanya a fab review x

Gurdeep review
Silent Scream by Angela Marson
Even the darkest secrets can’t stay buried forever…

Five figures gather round a shallow grave. They had all taken turns to dig. An adult sized hole would have taken longer. An innocent life had been taken but the pact had been made. Their secrets would be buried, bound in blood …

Years later, a headmistress is found brutally strangled, the first in a spate of gruesome murders which shock the Black Country.

But when human remains are discovered at a former children’s home, disturbing secrets are also unearthed. D.I. Kim Stone fast realises she’s on the hunt for a twisted individual whose killing spree spans decades.

As the body count rises, Kim needs to stop the murderer before they strike again. But to catch the killer, can Kim confront the demons of her own past before it’s too late?

Firstly i would like to thank Kim Nash and Bookouture for offering me a copy of this amazing read.

Having read this crime thriller, i can understand why it has been highly recommended.

It’s truly one great debut novel by Angela Marsons and i am proud to know she is a local. I live in the West Midlands and it was interesting to read about the setting of locations which i know about well.
In the streets of West Midlands, murders are being committed and discovered, bodies are being found…there is a connection. D I Stone has a big case to solve and a mystery to unravel.

Who is behind it?

I loved Kim Stone’s character and her team. Kim is a strong, forceful and courageous woman who leads her team well. This book is one of those books which you start and don’t want to put down, a thrilling whodunnit that grips you and keeps you guessing till the end.

There are twists and turns throughout this book with springing surprises.

It is a story of disturbing dark secrets which are revealed in a clever pattern.
I don’t want to give anything away but i was left in shock more times than once.

All i can say is…go on and read it yourself, you won’t be disappointed.

I look forward now to the second book.

Well done Angela,

i give this FIVE big stars. Thank you for keeping me engrossed in this fabulous page-turner

cashing into love
Melissa Foster
Only one woman could hurt ultra-alpha bad boy Jake Braden.
Only one woman can heal him.
Fiona Steele has arrived…
Fiona Steele has a great career, strong friendships, and a loving family. To an outsider, her life appears happy and fulfilling. But the one thing that’s missing is true love, and the only man Fiona wants is the one she can’t have, sinfully handsome and seductively intense Jake Braden—the man whose heart she broke, which she has regretted ever since.

As an LA stuntman, Jake Braden’s at the top of his game. He’s hired for all the best movies, hooks up with the hottest women, and lives an unencumbered lifestyle where his needs come first—and where he doesn’t have to examine his life too closely. Except when he visits his family in his close-knit hometown of Trusty, Colorado, where he spends his time avoiding Fiona—the only woman who knows who he really is.

When Fiona’s best friend is hired to act in Jake’s movie, Fiona jumps at the chance to try to win him back. There’s no denying the white-hot attraction burning between them. With every encounter, Fiona hopes Jake can’t resist falling back into the love they once shared. But her well-orchestrated rendezvous doesn’t go over well with the brooding heartthrob. Living in the fast lane is perfect for a guy who’s buried his emotions so damn deep he’s not sure he can remember how to feel—and he’s not sure he ever wants to.

This book for slightly older children. However, the younger children love browsing through the pages of this colorful and fun book. It has fantastic illustrations, even babies adore. I have three grandsons ( 3, 1, and 1/2 years olds) and they love looking at the illustrations while I tell them a short version of this story. This book will be fine for 4 year old children if read to them. It is about the hospital mouse who always gets in the trouble because he is not following the rules his parents taught him. Just a fun read! I am planing to donate these series of books to the hospitals when I publish all 6 books. All stories are closely connected and it will be more fun to read them together. I hope I can accomplish it between 2015-16

The Jackdaw (DI Sean Corrigan, Book 4)by luke Delaney

"Lynsey review tomor"

crime / thriller Lynsey on the case
The Jackdaw (DI Sean Corrigan, Book 4)by luke Delaney

The fourth novel in the DI Sean Corrigan series – authentic and terrifying crime fiction with a psychological edge, by an ex-Met detective. Perfect for fans of Mark Billingham, Peter James and Stuart MacBride.

Guilty or not guilty?

A lone vigilante is abducting wealthy Londoners and putting their fate in the hands of the public. Within hours of disappearing, the victims appear on the internet, bound to a chair in a white room.

Revenge or mercy?

Their crimes of greed and incompetence are broadcast to the watching thousands who make up the jury. Once the verdict is cast, the man who calls himself ‘The Jackdaw’ will be judge and executioner.

Live or die?

DI Sean Corrigan and his Special Investigations Unit are under pressure to solve this case fast. But as The Jackdaw’s popularity grows, Corrigan realizes he’s hunting a dangerously clever and elusive adversary – one who won’t stop until his mission is complete.I am a newcomer to this authors work and i am very happy that i found this series. I thought Jackdaw was very fresh and up to date crime book.

Being a new reader Jackdaw does give some of the earlier cases away mainly with the toy taker but i had no issues with this as its made me want to read the others in the series especially the toy taker as this case seemed to have a lasting affect on the team. I have brought this book along with the others to catch up with the series and to find out what happened with Sally and Sean.

In Jackdaw we have a lone vigilante kidnapping Londoners from the financial sector and then putting them in front of a live audience via the web and asking them to vote so that the killer can become both judge and executioner.

I liked the police procedural part and i could feel the pressure on the team i could certainly tell that Luke brought his knowledge of the police into the story.

I like how DI Sean Corrigan seems to get in the mind of the killer and seems to be having a conversation with them in his mind.

The Jackdaw was abit chilling as it felt that it could easily happen and how big social media is, it would be easy to get a wide range of viewers like how we seen in Jackdaw.

With the Jackdaw himself it was refreshing not to have a victim as a complete innocent person but someone who you dont feel sorry for and would hold a grudge against them. I didnt see the ending coming at all i never guessed.

The Jackdaw was a brilliant read that i really enjoyed and would recommend to others and i am now going to read the others in the series.

Chasing Daisy by Paige Toon

Suzanne review for
Chasing Daisy by Paige Toon

Daisy has been hurt in love and leaves the United States to get over it. She joins the catering staff of a Formula 1 team. It’s hard work, but it’s also fun. She gets to see something of the world and she works with a great group of people. Together they spend many long nights in all kinds of bars in different countries. Daisy is falling in love with Will, the driver from the team she’s working for. When a new, second driver, arrives she’s surprised as it’s the man she’s had an argument with when he almost ran over her. They aren’t good friends, but their bickering is something she can get used to. Daisy is dreaming of Will, but he has a girlfriend. Will her feelings be hurt again? And will she be able to keep who she is and where she’s from a secret from everyone around her?

Chasing Daisy is an easy and mostly fun read. Of course it has its sad moments which are necessary for every story, but I think it’s mostly meant to be enjoyable. I loved that part. I could totally picture Daisy and the two gorgeous drivers of the team. I wanted to know her secrets and of course I also wanted to find out if she’d be happy in love. Daisy is a heavy drinker and she often stumbles out of bed to work after just a few hours of sleep. She loves a good party. I liked that about her and also that she’s such a loving and caring person.

The names of the drivers are of course fictional and that felt a bit strange for me. I understood the idea behind it though and after reading a few pages I grew accustomed to it and it didn’t matter any longer. The story made me smile most of the time. I already knew from page one what the outcome would be, but I was curious to see how it would happen and the journey there was very unexpected. Daisy lives in a world that’s so different from what most people are used to, which is part of the attraction of this book, I read it with a smile on my face.
