"My review later who read ?"

She is the missing girl. But she doesn’t know she’s lost.

Carmel Wakeford becomes separated from her mother at a local children’s festival, and is found by a man who claims to be her estranged grandfather. He tells her that her mother has had an accident and that she is to live with him for now. As days become weeks with her new family, 8-year-old Carmel realises that this man believes she has a special gift…

While her mother desperately tries to find her, Carmel embarks on an extraordinary journey, one that will make her question who she is – and who she might become.

I got to say i not sure if i like this book it took me a while to get into it i found it a bit hard going at time but then i got carry on to see what happens so i must of liked it

This story every parents nightmare their child going missing it a very tricky story to tell

At the start i was not sure if I like how the story was being told with Beth the mum voice and Carmel the daughter voice but then i got use to it

Kate did a great job of creating a believable and intense story

Carmel views on the world was refreshing what an incredible girl she was

Carmel was kidnapped at 8 she was taken from a very busy festival we get to read and feel Beth pain as the book goes on she seem to become stronger and she learns to cope

The description of her daughter going missing were heartbreaking my heart when out to her you could feel her terror The book did grip me because I could not stop reading it it very beautifully written it a good debut novel

Both mum and daughter seem so real to me you could sense Carmel loneliness and fear i just became so desperate to know how things work out

I felt the suspense of the story as i said at the beginning i was not sure if i like this book but i got pulled into the plot i had carry on to see what happens

It did not totally captivate me like some books do i am not sure why i did not really like it i felt all the pain the description from both of them were so tenderly written but i was not sure of the end i wanted more it ended a bit abrupt what happened next? I hated the end why end like that ? That totally spoilt it for me

I think it a book you love or hate i so in the middle i not sure what i think

Please read for yourself as we all are different you may love it i just did not like it

Thank you netgalley for letting me read and review
