CLOSE TO HOME BY LISA JACKSON
THE BLURB
HOME IS WHERE THE FEAR IS…

The house where Sarah McAdams grew up has always terrified her. But now she’s moved back with her daughters, determined to put her childhood fears behind her.

It’s harder than she thought. Increasingly haunted by the past, Sarah soon realises that the present has its own threats. One by one, teenage girls are disappearing…

Frantic for her daughters’ safety, Sarah feels the house’s walls closing in on her once more. Somewhere deep in her memory is the key to a very real danger.

And only by confronting the terrifying truth can she protect her children from a nightmare that is roaring back to life.

WHAT I SAY

This is the first Lisa Jackson i have read and i really did enjoy it i will be looking out for her books now

This book just grip me from the first page it packed with suspense i also found it a bit creepy too . I liked the hint of paranormal in the story it seem to hook me into the storyline more is got lots of twists too which i liked

I did not guess who was the kidnapper did you ? It got romance , ghostly figures, family secrets, kidnapping and mystery what more could you want ?

I enjoy hearing all about Sarah family from the past and the historical background run through the story i felt this help to add to the creepy feel of the houses as you read it made me feel cold

Sarah and Gracie felt the houses was haunted i like now they both did not talk about it openly to each other

Blue Peacock manor was a very old manor in need of so much repair and renovation

i like how Sarah and her family set about doing the repairs a few family secrets seem to be coming to light .

The kids hate the manor is has no phone cover , no internet they seem to be struggling to fit into school we hear how sarah tried to keep them safe as a girl gone missing life seem to be getting harder for the kids i liked the way the story flows it got a few surprises in there the twist are brilliant and add more tension to the story

I liked all the characters them seem so believable to me but i did warm to them i really did like gracie she was a great kid

The ghostly elements were creepy the story just pull me in to the plot

I liked the writing style it was so easy to follow a very tense read i did not guess did you ?

I recommend you look this book out

i would like to thank Rebecca for letting me read and review this fab book for this book tour. Thanks to bookbrigr too
