I was sent a pdf link so I could print the images as they not available in UK at the moment, but they may be soon and then I would love a real copy .I just got told it out today in UK
I just loved all this book, it has 27 nice images for you to colour and you can let your imagination run wild with this era.
The images are all hand drawn and they are in the middle of the page. It has nice strong lines.
I have to say this book captures the style, look and feel of the 1960s so well. I liked that if you wanted to you could add a bit to the images, for example more background.
I did use promarkers and sharpies to colour in the images. The book has a few blank pages at the back and you can put them underneath to stop any bleed through, but each image is on single sided paper.
On my image of the girl with blonde hair I did use chalk as a background and I would spray with hairspray just to set the colour.
I have had other colouring books from LightBurst Media and they were very good quality. I felt a few of the images, when nicely coloured could be put into a frame
Some of the images have so much detail, it captures the era and style really well. You could go pale or bright, it’s totally up to you.
I felt all the images would work with watercolours, gel pens ,copic pencils and promarkers.
This book would be great for my fashion conscious niece who loves this era, but my mum (who will be 80 soon, she’d kill me if she read this though) she’d love it too. Just like I did. I feel it’s a good book for bringing back great memories and making them come to life
It’s just a wonderful book to let your imagination run away with you.
I like to thank LightBurst Media for letting me review it.

Here are my two colour images

  1. What a great idea for a colouring book – looks like good fun 🙂

  2. Thanks for writing a lovely review for the book! I love your colored pictures. I noticed your link on Amazon doesn’t work right and goes to Facebook. Would you be able to correct that? I’d like to share your review around on our social media but want to make sure the link is working first 🙂 Thank you! I joined your coloring group as well. Excited to check it out.
